 We
made nine pairs of curtains with swags and tails, ruche, cord and
bullion fringe. The client wanted a replacement of the curtains that
were in the room for some years which had faded and been affected
by the sunlight. We had to source the silk and the mill which had
woven it. Then the silk had to be specially dyed, and the lining dyed
a plain colour to coordinate with the stripe. Bullion fringe and cord
were made and dyed to match. |
 The
set of 8 chairs needed completely reupholstering and recovering. Once
again the client wished to reproduce as near as possible the existing
velvet and gaufrage design. We found a silk velvet and gaufrage patterns
for the inside back and seat of the chairs and a plainer pattern for
the outside back. This was finished with a matching braid. |
